DENSO appoints TKK as its distributor in Thailand, ready to deliver world-class IoT solutions, propelling Thailand to become a leader in Industry 4.0.

To drive Thailand's manufacturing industry forward into the 4.0 era, it's crucial to have quality IoT solutions that connect various electronic devices into a single network. This allows users to control and manage data on devices that may be located in remote locations. This technology can make operations in various sectors more efficient, faster, and more accurate.

When it comes to high-quality, globally recognized IoT solutions, the Japanese brand DENSO is undoubtedly at the forefront of the list. DENSO IoT Solutions enable various industrial plants to quickly become IoT factories, reducing programming time by simply setting up and connecting to existing automation equipment, as well as cutting-edge, safe, and standardized devices, leading to high-performance production systems.

And most recently, there's exciting news: DENSO SALES (THAILAND) CO., LTD. has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to appoint TKK Corporation Co., Ltd. as the official sole marketing agent for DENSO's IoT Solutions. This significant collaboration marks another important step in jointly developing the Thai industrial sector to rapidly advance to "Industry 4.0" with quality IoT Solutions from DENSO.

Recognizing the beginning of DENSO & TKK's collaboration, we are ready to deliver quality IoT Solutions to unlock the modernity of Thai industrial factories in the 4.0 era.

At the signing ceremony of this cooperation, Yod Pattanatrakul, Deputy Managing Director of DENSO Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., was the signer along with Kanlayanee Kongsomjit, Chief Executive Officer of TKK Corporation Co., Ltd. On this occasion, Mr. Yod spoke about the origin of this cooperation with TKK Corporation, saying:

"DENSO, founded in Japan in 1949, has been around for 74 years now. In 1972, we expanded our business to Thailand, marking our first overseas investment outside of Japan. We aim to expand our investment to meet the demands of the domestic automotive market and prepare for becoming the automotive hub of the ASEAN region."

"DENSO's strength lies in our continuous development of factory automation and IoT solutions. Consequently, we have long provided cutting-edge equipment and tools to the Thai industrial sector. With this accumulated experience, we are confident that this strength will support and promote the Thai industrial sector in raising production standards in line with Industry 4.0."

"And the reason for our collaboration with TKK Corporation today is because DENSO is a multinational company. We've been doing business in Thailand for over 50 years. One thing DENSO is well aware of is how to utilize our existing expertise to promote and develop Thailand."

Yod Pattanatrakul, Deputy Managing Director of DENSO Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

"This idea led us to seek a partner to collaborate on offering DENSO's cutting-edge tools and equipment, meeting world-class standards, along with our expertise in automation and IoT solutions, to further benefit Thai society and the Thai industrial sector, enhancing its potential. We see TKK Corporation as a company with great potential and able to fulfill our ambitions."

"TKK has unique strengths that set it apart from other trading companies, particularly its subsidiary, KSI Solutions Co., Ltd., which has the capability to develop software. This strength is why DENSO has chosen TKK as the sole official marketing agent for DENSO's IoT solutions, as well as a partner to share knowledge with society and the Thai industrial sector."

"Furthermore, TKK's strength lies in its extensive sales and network connections. DENSO believes we can work together to comprehensively disseminate knowledge on automation systems, IoT platforms, and robotics to various Thai industries. I am confident that the combination of DENSO's knowledge, expertise, and technology, combined with TKK's expertise, experience, and network, will enable DENSO to deliver effective IoT solutions to Thai industries, not just the automotive sector, but also to other industries in the near future."

Kalyanee Kongsomjit, Chief Executive Officer, TKK Corporation Co., Ltd.

Ms. Kalyanee added about this important collaboration, "The collaboration with DENSO began with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), which introduced DENSO to TKK. DENSO was looking for a Thai company or local company with marketing potential and a strong customer network, coupled with a strong customer service system and technical engineering expertise. This is what led TKK to work with DENSO."

“Since then, we have held continuous meetings to establish a collaborative framework. Denso and TKK share the same vision: developing Thailand's industrial production system into an AI and robotics system with IoT solutions. This is the core of digital transformation and will enhance business competitiveness with controllable costs.”

"As a Thai company with over 19 years of experience in providing technology services to the Thai industrial sector, TKK is confident that the Thai manufacturing sector has the potential to adapt and become more competitive if we can modernize our industrial processes by enhancing the capabilities of our machinery and enabling timely data retrieval, enabling further development of the analyzed data using AI."

"The collaboration between DENSO and TKK is another important step towards truly becoming a driving force in Thailand's Industry 4.0 development. DENSO's software and IoT solutions will simplify everything, as devices are directly connected to the hardware. Therefore, we must leverage DENSO's strengths in delivering superior products and TKK's strong network, both in engineering and customer service, with excellent marketing and efficient after-sales service. These pieces will form a complete puzzle, and we will jointly develop Thailand's manufacturing sector to meet the demands of Industry 4.0."

More than just business cooperation, we are developing an ecosystem to equip Thailand's IoT workforce.

This signing of the cooperation agreement is not only an announcement of business cooperation between DENSO and TKK, but also a demonstration of the same position in jointly developing personnel in the IoT platform of Thailand, including personnel in the 4.0 manufacturing technology. Mr. Yod provided additional information as follows:

"Thailand already enjoys a strategic location as the regional economic hub, particularly in the automotive industry. However, one area that still needs development is the workforce, particularly those with IoT expertise. DENSO recognizes the urgent need to contribute to this workforce to meet the needs of the Thai industrial sector."

"Therefore, in addition to DENSO and TKK's business partnership, we also have a joint mission to develop a workforce with IoT expertise to meet the needs of international industries seeking to expand their production bases in Thailand."

"DENSO has therefore established Education Centers in Bangkok and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) region. The objective is to disseminate knowledge to students, DENSO employees, and industry personnel. DENSO is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to nurture these personnel's essential skills."

"And now, we've opened an Education Center and are beginning training DENSO employees ourselves, starting with DENSO's first location in Amata City. Later this year, we'll expand the Education Center to cover all regions of Thailand, continuing to share key IoT knowledge with Thai personnel across all sectors."

Regarding TKK Corporation, Ms. Kalyanee emphasized the mission of collaboration with all sectors to develop personnel in IoT, automation, AI, and robotics to serve the industrial sector. This is another mission that TKK has been continuously pursuing in parallel with its business operations.

"In working together with DENSO and TKK, we agreed that as a private sector, we would like to participate in the development of IoT-related curricula, both in educational institutions and for personnel working in the manufacturing industry. IoT is particularly relevant in engineering, as it is intertwined in every aspect. Therefore, we believe that private sectors like DENSO and TKK can play a key role in imparting knowledge to students in educational institutions."

"Therefore, we have agreed to further collaboration with relevant agencies, such as the Federation of Thai Industries, the Human Resource Development Institute for Automation and Robotics (MARA), and the Thai-German Institute. The aim is to jointly develop a curriculum related to IoT for Industry 4.0. The target audience is students and industrial workers who want to develop new skills related to IoT."

"Initially, we envision a three-level training course. The first level will provide a foundational understanding of IoT and Industry 4.0. The second level will cover practical applications using DENSO's IoT solutions. The third level will be more advanced, equipping engineers and technicians with the knowledge and skills to further develop these software and devices to create innovations that add value to the manufacturing sector."
